When referring to a projector it can be either basic settings that can be adjusted in the menu, or if the picture is poor or out of focus and you can't fix it from the standard menu, then someone needs to get into the "service menu" of the device to reset the system or make some internal menu based repairs.
Best Buy just started offering a service for $300 where a highly trained "Elite Service Specialist" will come out to your home and calibrate your Projector or Television, along with help you calibrate your sound system as well. Its a great service and a good buy. If you have a Best Buy near you with a Magnolia Home Theater inside it go ask them about it, it will be worth it. They should even have a few sets in the store that have been calibrated through the service menu - you will see a big difference.
